swapshop ecology action

prPRIZE

2011 marked the 18th annual presentation of the Swapshop Ecology Action Prize (formerly Eric Douglis Scholarship) granted to a graduating Cape Cod high school senior who has actively demonstrated a concern for the environment.  By contributing to Swapshop Ecology Action, YOU can join in this amazing transformation of donated labor and recycled goods into a $1000 scholarship prize, investing in kids who care about the Cape-- and the planet.

This year, in addition to our usual Swap-shop transformation of Stuff into Scholarships, the S.E.A. prize fund was the  grateful recipient of FIrst Encounter Coffee House’s Earth Day benefit, featuring Jerusha and the Beat Greens, plus Nauset World Music Ensemble.  Thanks to FECH and to everyone who performed, attended and contributed!

2008 winner was Maria Gueke of Nauset Regional High School.
